Staff and Volunteers

Susan Stiller Interim Organist and Senior Choir Director Susan, originally from New Jersey, received her B. Mus., from the University of Redlands, California, and M.M. (in performance) from Syracuse University. After serving various area churches Susan was the Director of Music at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, York for fifteen years. Susan serves on the Diocesan Commission on Music and Liturgy. Currently, semi-retired, Susan is St. Andrew’s interim music director. Under her tutelage the choir boasts 17 voices.

Nancy Bush Administrative Assistant York native Nancy provides much ministry at St. Andrew’s. Nancy is Director of the Altar Guild. She also oversees all the preparations for all special services. For example, Nancy is our wedding planner, who quietly behind the scenes ensures that weddings take place with few glitches. Nancy also proof reads all the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletter. Nancy is the parish Press Officer and is a delegate to diocesan convention. One of Nancy’s great gifts is that she provides insights and assistance to the clergy, Neita in the office, the choir and other ministries of the church.

The Vestry

The Vestry is the governing board of an Episcopal parish consisting of the Rector, the Senior Warden, and lay members including the Junior Warden. The Rector presides at meetings of the vestry (or, in his absence, the Wardens), which handles the parish's business and temporal matters and serves as a council of advice for the Rector. Lay members of the Vestry are elected at a parish's annual meeting.

St. Andrews Vestry meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, except during the summer months during which the Vestry does not meet, except as needed. Vestry meetings are open, and members of the parish are invited to attend and listen in on the discussions and work the vestry does each month.

Financial Leadership

The financial leaders provide for the day to day financial workings of the church, from paying bills to receiving donations. In addition, the church depends on them for long-term financial planning for investments, long-term debt, and yearly budget setting and balancing.
